Service Writer / Parts Manager
The Aviation Service Writer / Parts Manager serves as the primary coordinator between maintenance personnel, customers, and vendors. This position manages service agreements and work orders, coordinates parts procurement and inventory, and ensures maintenance projects progress efficiently from aircraft arrival through return to service.
The role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication with customers and vendors, and the ability to track parts, labor, and services associated with aircraft maintenance operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Service Writer
Assess customer maintenance needs and coordinate service estimates and service agreements.
Create and manage maintenance work orders.
Coordinate scheduling with the Maintenance Manager and Shop Foreman.
Assist with aircraft arrival and intake into the maintenance process.
Monitor work orders during maintenance and provide progress updates to customers.
Obtain customer approval for additional work or services when required.
Coordinate outside services when necessary.
Assist with preparation of aircraft for return to service and customer delivery.
Assist with invoice preparation and review.
Process warranty claims as applicable.
Parts Management
Coordinate acquisition of parts required for scheduled and ongoing maintenance work.
Serve as the primary point of contact for parts related to active maintenance jobs.
Order parts and materials for Teton Aviation Center maintenance operations.
Source parts for specialized aircraft including warbird and experimental aircraft.
Manage parts and consumables inventory.
Track parts on order and communicate status updates to supervisors and customers.
Ensure parts, fluids, and outside services are correctly applied to associated work orders.
Identify and market surplus inventory for sale when appropriate.
Department Responsibilities
Maintain and develop professional relationships with customers and vendors.
Serve as a primary communication link between customers, vendors, and the maintenance team.
Assist in coordinating the maintenance department schedule and maintaining the maintenance calendar.
Track parts, consumables, and assets required for maintenance operations.
Manage inventory levels and address shortages or surplus as appropriate.
Deliver parts to technicians or job locations when practical.
Assist with work order time tracking and labor allocation.
Ensure parts, labor, and outside services are properly assigned to the appropriate work order.
Submit completed work orders for invoicing upon aircraft return to service.
Assist in reviewing invoices for accuracy.
Coordinate aircraft return to service and brief customers on completed work.
Assist in managing online maintenance subscriptions and vendor accounts.
Assist with employee time tracking, timecard adjustments, and PTO approvals.
Implement approved improvements to service agreement, work order, and parts management processes.
Assist with implementation of marketing initiatives related to maintenance operations.
Cross-train, as practical, with the Office Manager and Facility Manager to support operational continuity.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to become proficient with Total FBO software.
Knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and aviation parts procurement preferred.

Senior A&P Mechanic
Experienced A&P Mechanic with inspection authorization preferred but not required.
We are looking for a Senior mechanic to lead and execute General Aviation Inspections and Maintenance and guide less experienced mechanics working on similar tasks.
Requirements:
FAA issued Airframe and Powerplant license required.
5+ years of general aviation maintenance experience required.
Inspection Authorization (IA) required. 3 Years experience as an IA desired
Key Duties:
Inspect, test, repair, maintain and service aircraft in accordance with all applicable FAR's. Properly record the work performed in appropriate maintenance records.
Guide younger mechanics in troubleshooting and maintenance processes
Work independently or with a team
Have troubleshooting, time management, organizational and communication skills.
Hourly rate dependent on experience.
Live and work in the western slope of Teton Mountains. Gateway to Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks. If your sport is fishing, mountain biking, snow skiing, sledding or hunting, etc - this is the place to be!
Summary
As a senior mechanic, you will ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of aircraft by accomplishing, guiding and leading a wide range of tasks including annual inspections, repairs, restoration and modifications. Your knowledge, skills and experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis will be instrumental in resolving complex issues. Avionics technician / installer
Teton Aviation Center is currently looking for a highly motivated, dedicated, experienced Avionics Technician/Installer to add to our Avionics Team.
Experience:
Installation of all avionics (1+Yr)
Knowledge with computer and software upgrades
Knowledge of testing electronic instruments
Perform pitot / static and transponder tests
Installation of Garmin avionics is desirable
CAD programming knowledge desirable
Able To:
Complete tasks within allotted time
Ensure quality and efficiency on all installations
Demonstrate skills and knowledge required to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring, including splicing, soldering and pinning of wiring to ensure installations meet conformity.
